On the occasion of the World Cup 2006 an edition of high-quality art prints was issued under the designation: "Official ART Poster 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany". FIFA president Joseph S. Blatter chose 14 renowned international artists for the project.
This edition is part of the Official World Cup 2006 Arts and Culture Programme and was sponsored with federal government funds. The artist Owusu-Ankomah, among others represented by ARTCO, is included in the edition with a reproduction of his painting "GO FOR IT STARS".
The Official Art Poster was issued in a signed colour lithography edition and in an open offset edition with a limit of 800 prints each.
