In this new exhibition, ARTCO in Aachen presents younger and older works, mainly paintings, from the gallery's collection. The idea behind this exhibition was to create liveliness, colour and thus a bit of a positive mood in the currently dreary times. This intention then also determined the choice of pictures and so unusual motifs and/or a distinct colourfulness unite the works.
The artists whose works can be seen in the exhibition all come from Africa or have African roots. In detail, the following nine artists are participating with four works each:
Georg Afedzi Hughes, Owusu Ankomah, Tete Azankpo, Saidou Dicko, El Loko, Toyin Loye, Evans Mbugua, Richard Mudariki, Ransome Stanley
Due to current restrictions, the complete show in the gallery can only be viewed by appointment for the time being. In the showcase at Seilgraben we will show a smaller format of each of the participating artists and thus a colourful cross-section of the works.
