Positionen: GROUP EXHIBITION

11 March - 8 April 2011

Contemporary African artist in the Kindermann collection

In this exhibition, ARTCO presented selected works from a Private Collection for the first time.

Without the commitment of art collectors and patrons, the Museum landscape in this country would be many times poorer. Collections focusing on African contemporary art are still rare to find in the German-speaking countries. However, the trend is fortunately changing. One of these collections is that of the Austrian Erich Kindermann, whose commitment we honor with this exhibition.

Shown are works of the following artists:

Tété Azankpo - Frédéric Bruly Bouabré - Norman Catherine - Godfrey Donkor - Sokari Douglas Camp CBE - Francois du Plessis - Sokey Edorh - Amouzou Glikpa - Chia Rissa Gildemeister - George "Afedzi" Hughes - EL Loko - Luis Meque - Yves Midahuen (Midy) - Owusu-Ankomah - Kofi Setordji - Rikki Wemega-Kwawu - Zinkpe

For the Vernissage on 11.03.2011 at 19.00 o'clock we cordially invite.

Erich Kindermann and his wife will be present.

Duration of the exhibition: 11.03.-08.04.2011

A 92-page catalog will be published for the exhibition.
