Ransome Stanley
untitled, 2010, charcoal drawing
In his art work, Ransome Stanley draws from his own African roots as a London-born son of a German mother and Nigerian father. He is reflecting his own roots, staged in Western images of Africa as well as certain colonial embossed clichés of exoticism and is adding them together to create new pictorial inventions.
